Are you looking for that perfect place to take your kids without breaking the bank? Well look no further. Here are four inexpensive places to take the family!

Flea market

Flea markets are the perfect place to bring the family. You can search for bargains and one of a kind items, and your kiddos are sure to find something to their liking. Check out the Waldo Farmers and Flea Market open from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

County fair

County fairs are a guaranteed good time. They always have several local food vendors, home baked goods and numerous family activities. The Alachua County Fair will be held Oct. 20–28 at the Alachua County Fairgrounds.

Family-friendly farm

Farms are fun for everyone! Depending on the type of farm you visit, there are a wide variety of activities for kids. If your little one is a fruit fiend, you can explore one of Gainesville’s many U-Pick farms, and if he is more interested in animals, you can pay a visit to the Retirement Home for Horses at Mill Creek Farm or Dudley Farm Historic State Park.

Garage sale

Garage sales can be surprisingly enjoyable for all ages. With all those great deals, kids can break out their allowance money and find goodies they may have not been looking for. There are many community-wide garage sales you can attend throughout the year, such as the semi-annual Haile Plantation Community Garage Sale.

If you are looking for an inexpensive family adventure, take the kids to any of the above places. Trust me, you will not only have a fun day together, but you will also make memories that can last a lifetime.
