Happy summer, everyone!
School is out, the sun is out and the kids are outside … a lot! Whether they are in the pool, at the beach, or just playing outdoors, it is rash guards, sunglasses, hats and sunscreen all day! We are a family of red heads and blondes with pale skin, blue eyes (yes, all six of us!) and freckles, so we constantly need to be protected from the sun.
Since I know we are all concerned about sun protection, I wanted to share my favorite sunscreens that we use — both lotion and face sticks. Personally, I try to limit chemicals in our house, including sunscreen. These sunscreens are natural and safe, have 20 percent zinc oxide or higher, and are all rated 1 (best score possible) on the Environmental Working Group’s Healthy Living app.
- All Good Kid’s Sunscreen with Calendula and Chamomile SPF 33
- All Good Unscented or Coconut Sunstick SPF 30
- Babo Botanicals Clear Zinc Sunscreen SPF 30
- Babo Botanicals Clear Zinc Sport Stick Sunscreen SPF 30
- Badger Sport Unscented Zinc Oxide Sunscreen Cream SPF 35
I love all of these sunscreens, not only because they are safe for myself and my family, but they offer great coverage! The sunscreen sticks are also great because they make applying to the face so much easier. Don’t forget that, even though they have great coverage, you still need to reapply periodically.
What sunscreens have you found that you cannot live without? Please share with us!
