The 21st Century Learning CCLC programs are free academic after-school and summer programs. The 21st Century Learning initiative is a key component of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Authorized under Title IV, Part B, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015.
Alachua County School District has three 21CCLC grants which operate at eight district school-based centers. Each grant has a name: Project Discovery, Project Inspire, Project Vitalize. Each center is staffed with a Site Coordinator who assists with the day-to-day operations. Florida certificated teachers and support staff deliver academic enrichment and personal enrichment to all lessons.
