Alachua County Schools will reopen on Friday, November 13.
“The free curbside meals typically distributed on Thursdays will be distributed tomorrow (Friday) at the usual 24 sites from 9:30 to 1 p.m. The list of sites is available at yourchoicefresh.com,” according to ACPS Public Information Officer Jackie Johnson.
Queen of Peace, St. Francis and Oak Hall will also be back in session as well.
Alachua County Schools Closed November 12 Due To Tropical Storm Eta
Attention all parents (ACPS and private schools)! Due to Tropical Storm Eta, ACPS will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, November 12, as well as Queen of Peace Catholic Academy and St. Francis Catholic Academy.
ACPS Public Information Officer Jackie Johnson said in an email, “Based on the projected path, heavy rains and sustained winds from Hurricane Eta, and in consultation with local emergency management officials, the decision has been made to close Alachua County Public Schools on Thursday, November 12. Employees should NOT report to work on Thursday.”
Queen of Peace and St. Francis families should check their emails for more information.
It is unknown if schools will be open on Friday, November 13. We will update this information when new information arrives.
