Alachua County Public Schools (ACPS) is requesting that parents select school options for educating their children in the fall. There are three options available, and the district requests that options be selected by July 20.
The three options for education include “traditional, in-person, five-days-a-week model mandated by the state of Florida, and two online options, including the Alachua Digital Academy and Alachua eSchool,” according to an ACPS press release.
For more information about each option, you can visit the Choose Your School Option website at https://www.sbac.edu/Page/29815.
The deadline to select school options and submit a form is July 20 at 11:59 p.m. to allow the district to plan the reopening of schools for fall 2020. The district is asking that families commit to their chosen option for the first nine weeks of the school year.
“If a family does not select an option, the child will be placed in the traditional, in-person option,” according to the press release.
