Yummy Fall Drinks That Aren’t Pumpkin Spice Lattes

Now that Florida has begun to experience some colder weather, we are ready for all the fall flavors that the season brings. But fall flavors are more than just pumpkin spice. If you want to get into the fall-themed drink game for your own family, we’ve put together some easy and fun DIY fall drinks to try!

Kids: Apple Pie Punch

Ingredients:

  • 2 Apples
  • 4 cups Apple cider
  • 3 cups Ginger ale
  • 1 cup Pear nectar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon 

This is a light, super quick and easy homemade punch for your little ones. Play around with the recipe, depending on what your child likes. Maybe throw in some apple juice instead of apple cider, or add more fruit for those natural sugars!

Directions: 

Mix the apple cider, ginger ale and pear nectar in a pitcher with ice. Sprinkle cinnamon to taste. Cut up some apples for garnishing the rim of the glasses and throw the rest into the pitcher.

 

Dad: Bourbon Maple Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 2. oz bourbon
  • 1 oz. pure maple syrup
  • ¼ to ½ oz. fresh lemon juice or ½ squeezed lemon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Directions:

In a cocktail glass, combine the bourbon and maple syrup. Then add lemon juice to taste. Mix cinnamon and nutmeg to sprinkled on top or to rim your cocktail glass.

 

Mom: Butterscotch Caramel Coffee 

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. coffee
  • 1-2 teaspoon of cinnamon 
  • 1 oz. butterscotch schnapps (or butterscotch syrup for non-alcoholic option)
  • 1 oz. heavy whipping cream/half and half (coconut cream for non-dairy option)
  • 1-2 tablespoon caramel sauce

Directions:

Mix Schnapps or syrup with cream or non-dairy cream in a mug. Pour coffee into the mug and add cinnamon. Garnish with caramel sauce and additional cinnamon if wanted, and enjoy your DIY fall drink!
