We are surrounded by two major hunting management areas located on historical Cross Creek, which connects Lake Lochloosa to Orange Lake. Cross Creek is featured by Pulitzer Prize-Winning Author, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings in her books and movies, The Yearling and Cross Creek.
