Today, June 11, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a plan to reopen Florida K-12 schools in the fall.
Without disclosing specific information about when schools will officially reopen, the governor and his colleges talked about the general plan for reopening educational facilities in the fall to full capacity and what safety measures should be taken. There was a slide show released outlining DeSantis’ proposed plan, and you can view that slide show here!
The slide show also explains how Florida’s education system is connected to the state’s economy. Final plans and decisions on how and when schools will reopen will be decided on a local level.
