Get to Know ACPS at Kindergarten Round-Up!
Calling all families with incoming Kindergarteners! On April 16, at 2:15 p.m., Alachua County Public Schools (ACPS) will be hosting their Kindergarten Round-Up. This is an event that will be held at all public schools in Alachua County that have a kindergarten grade level. This is a great opportunity for Kindergarteners and their families to learn about their new school, meet teachers and staff and learn their way around.
Registration for incoming students for the 2025-2026 school year opens on April 16 and can be done online. After registering your child for school, you’ll need to provide copies of your child’s birth certificate, immunization record, proof of a physical exam, and two different proofs of residence in the parent’s name. Physical copies of these items will need to be brought to the school for their records.
Required Immunizations for Kindergarteners Are:
- Four or five doses of DTaP
- Four or five doses of IPV
- Two doses of MMR
- Three doses of Hep B
- One dose of Tdap (Tetanus-Diptheria-Acellular Pertussis)
- Two doses of Varicella (Chickenpox)—not required if a health care provider documents the student has already had the disease
