Pofahl Studios has a long history – try 69 years – of teaching students age 3 to the far side of 70! From beginners through professionals, dance students and professional dancers have found their way to “The Studio” to take their first dance steps or to get that special coaching every advanced dancer needs. During its long history, Pofahl Studios has proven to be a training ground for hundreds of dance students. It is now on its fourth generation – seeing great-grandchildren of former students!
The School prides itself on a healthy environment where the individual is respected regardless of talent or academic achievement. The school’s focus is to teach each student poise and coordination and to instill in them the love of dance. THE PRIMARY CONCERN of the faculty is the development of each student’s skill, an appreciation for the art of dance, respect for their teachers and fellow students, and the development of their own personal self-esteem.

Pofahl Studios Faculty
The faculty at Pofahl Studios is exceptional! As Resident School for Dance Alive National Ballet, many faculty members are professional dancers with years of performing and teaching experience. Some faculty members, trained initially at the School, have returned to provide their talent and experience. The faculty has been carefully selected for their professional knowledge of a particular dance discipline as well as the ability to teach a particular age or ability level. Additionally, the studio only employs instructors with professional experience and/or dance degrees.
Former Students
Yes, the School produces dancers. Currently former students have: served as resident choreographer for Atlanta Ballet, performed with DANB, performed with Dallas Black Dance Theatre, principal talent scout for Cirque de Soleil, performed with Disney, performing on cruise lines, artistic directors of their own companies, performed with the Rockettes, danced with Philadelphia Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Hubbard Street. Performed on Broadway and tour with Hello, Dolly, Tootsie, Anastasia, Cats, Chorus Line and much more! More importantly, the School has produced doctors, attorneys, teachers, ministers, politicians, business people, and arts administrators – regular people who come back to share the value of their classes at Pofahl’s.
