The Oaks Mall in Gainesville is now open with adjusted hours.
“The mall will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday and from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday,” according to the mall. “New measures have been implemented to help ensure the health and safety for all who enter the mall, including hand-sanitizing stations, touch-free interactions, frequent and intense cleanings and social distancing directions.”
The mall was able to reopen on May 8 in response to the Florida Governor’s Executive Order No. 20-112 and the Alachua County’s Order No. 2020-21 allowing retail stored to open at 25% capacity. The food court will also be open with adjusted seating to follow social distancing guidelines.
The mall’s valet services, play areas, stroller rentals and mall-operated carousels will not be operating for the time being, according to the Oaks Mall.
Continue to check in to the CDC’s website and Alachua County’s website for updates on social distancing guidelines and safety precautions.
