Girl Scouts just announced that a new Girl Scout Cookie will be added to the line up in 2021! It’s called Toast-Yay!™ and it’s inspired by the tasty flavors of french toast.

“Available in select areas, each delightful, toast-shaped cookie is full of French toast flavor, dipped in delicious icing, and stamped with the iconic Girl Scout trefoil on top,” according to the Girl Scouts’ website.

Girl Scout Cookies allows girl scouts across the county to gain real-world experience and people skills by selling cookies. This past year, scouts had to adjust to online ordering because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, new online platforms and “virtual cookie booths” will allow girl scouts to sell cookies online, according to the website. You will even be able to share the love by sending boxes of cookies to your friends and family through a gift box option.

“Many girls will offer socially distant or contactless sales and delivery options,” according to the website.” If local guidelines allow and it’s safe to do so, in-person sales may also be available in certain areas.”

I know 2021 seems so far away, but now we have another thing to look forward to in the coming year! Mark your calendars for January 2021 as we all get ready to try the Toast-Yay!™ cookie, along with our other favorites of course.
