Less than 15 days remain until Santa Claus makes his long anticipated sleigh ride around the world! On Dec. 24, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) will be tracking Santa as he delivers presents to everyone on his nice list!

On Christmas Eve, visitors to the 2024 NORAD Tracks Santa website can watch Santa fly across the sky.

Until then, the website has a live countdown to Santa’s departure and interactive Christmas activities in the elf village! You can:

  • Visit the arcade and play a new Christmas game each day (advent calendar style)
  • Go to the theater and watch movies about Santa and NORAD
  • Look around the gift shop and buy Santa and NORAD gear (order by Dec. 15 to get it in time for Christmas!)
  • Visit the music stage and listen to Santa’s favorite holiday songs
  • Explore the library and Santa, his sleigh and other tradition
  • Go to NORAD headquarters to learn more about the organization

This is NORAD’s 69th year monitoring Mr. Claus. Visit the 2024 NORAD Tracks Santa website to learn more about when he will take off and when to expect him to arrive in your town.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars to remember to visit the website on Dec. 24 to follow Santa around the globe! And remember that Santa will only visit your home if all of your children are asleep.

NORAD is “a United States and Canada bi-national organization which defends the homeland through aerospace warning, aerospace control, and maritime warning for North America,” according to the website. NORAD headquarters is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
