Fall is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to see Facebook full with pictures of your little ones taking part in all the fall festivities! Here is a list of a few local pumpkin patches, mazes and festivals opening soon so you can get a head start on your fall bucket-list.
Abiding Savior Lutheran Preschool Pumpkin Patch
Beginning Monday, September 25 and running through Tuesday, October 31, this pumpkin patch will be open daily! Their Oktoberfest will take place Sunday, October 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Alachua’s Pumpkin Patch
Opens on September 28! Stay tuned on the Alachua’s Pumpkin Patch’s Facebook page to find out what times the patch will be open.
Amazing Grace Family Farms
Opens Friday, October 6 and will run until Saturday, November 4. Enjoy a pumpkin patch, corn maze, family attractions and more! Visit their website to learn more.
Amber Brooke Farms Fall Festival
The Amber Brooke Farms Fall Festival is open weekends from Saturday, September 23 through Sunday, October 29! Pick Pumpkins, explore the crop maze, visit the petting zoo, enjoy live music and more. Visit their website to purchase tickets.
Annual Newberry Fall Festival
This festival is on Saturday, November 18. Enjoy vendors, crafts, music and more from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.!
Boo Bash with Pinspiration Gainesville
Pinspiration Craft Studio is hosting Boo Bash Saturday, October 21 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy DIY faux pumpkins, crafts and snacks while wearing your halloween costumes! You can reserve tickets for your children in advanced here. Pinspiration Gainesville will also have Boo Bashternoons every Wednesday in October from 3:00 p.m. to 5 pm. You can purchase tickets here.
Buy A Pumpkin Feed a Child
This patch opens Saturday, September 30 and runs until Tuesday, October 31. There will be train rides, inflatables and more for you and your family to enjoy! “Every pumpkin you buy and every dollar you donate feeds hungry children. Buy A Pumpkin Feed A Child gives 100% of the proceeds directly to children and families in our local community of Gainesville and in Guatemala,” according to the company’s website.
The Bryer Patch
The Bryer Patch will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Saturday, October 7 until Sunday, November 19. The Pumpkin Festival is Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15. The Sunflower Festival is Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5. Check out their Facebook for more information!
Coon Hollo Fall Festival
Opens Friday, October 6 and will run until Sunday, November 5. This fall festival is sure to be fun for the whole family! Visit Coon Hollo’s website to reserve your tickets.
Downtown Festival and Art Show
Come out to Bo Diddly Plaza Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19 for the largest free celebration of art and culture in north Florida! From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the streets of historic downtown Gainesville will be lined with over 200 artists, live music, performing arts and food!
Depot Station’s Spooky Spectacular 7th Anniversary Spectacular
Bring your kids and your pets to Depot Station October 21 for this free event! There will be a market with local vendors from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., trick-or-treating for kids from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., a dog costume contest, live music and karaoke to end the night! There will also be food specials from Goldie’s Burgers and drink specials from Boxcar Beer and Wine Garden.
Ghouls, Goblins, and Greeks!
Thursday, October 26, you and your kiddos can join the University of Florida Panhellenic Community on Sorority Row from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for trick-or-treating, food and good memories!
Hollow Oaks Corn Maze
Opens Friday, September 30 and will run until Sunday, November 5. Enjoy a spooky corn maze and hay ride at Hollow Oaks! Don’t worry, all attractions are meant for all ages. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for ages 4-12 and ages 3 and under are free. You can purchase tickets online. Also, the haunted wagon ride begins Friday, October 6th!
Howl-A-Palooza
On October 22, join in for a thrilling experience at the 33rd Annual Sunny’s Howl-A-Palooza, hosted by the Sunny Cares Foundation from 3-6 p.m. This Halloween carnival of over 1,000 people promises carnival games, bounce houses, rock climbing, a kiddie haunted house, train rides, face painting, obstacle courses, and much more. Prizes will be given out as well as goody bags to all children.
Newberry Cornfield Maze
Starting Friday, September 22, the Newberry Cornfield Maze will be open Fridays and Saturdays through October 28. The maze is open from 5 p.m. to 11p.m. and is family friendly until dusk. At night, it becomes haunted! You can purchase tickets here!
Peanut Patch & Corn Maze
Opens Friday, September 29 and will run until Saturday, October 28. Admission to the patch and corn maze is $20 for adults, $12 for kids ages 3 to 11 and kiddos 3 and under are free. Come enjoy a corn maze, hayrides, corn hole and more!
Rooterville Farm Sanctuary
Spookley the Square Pumpkin will be coming to Rooterville Farm Sanctuary in October! Boo at the Roo, a “hoggy walloween,” is Saturday, October 28 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., weather permitting. Also, haunted woods tours will take place October 20-21 and October 27-28 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., weather permitting!
Spooktakular
On October 28, join O2B for a Spooktacular event! There will be trick or treating for all ages, costume contests with prices, performances, kiddie carnivals, spooky science, eerie art, and a haunted house for children 6 years and older. Members are free to join and non-members will be charged at $15 per child. This will not be a drop-off event. Event is held 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the O2B Super Center.
