While the county is still unsure of how and when schools will open this fall, Alachua County Public Schools (ACPS) registration is now open.
The registration form has been moved online this year, but families will still have to provide documents to the schools to complete the registration process.
“Although we don’t know what school will look like in the fall, we still need to know how many new
students we can expect and get contact information so that we’ll be able to communicate with the families of those students,” said Kim Neal, the district’s director of FTE/Student Reporting and the Office of Student Assignment.

EDEP after-school program registration is now open as well. “For incoming kindergarten students, EDEP registration for the 2020-2021 school year begins May 20 at 9 a.m.,” according to ACPS. “All other grades may apply beginning May 21 at 9 a.m. Applications for incoming 1st-5th graders that come in before 9 a.m. on May 21 will not be accepted.”
